The pancreas is a large and integral organ of the human body, which is located behind the stomach. It produces digestive enzymes and several hormones which helps in the digestion of food and the working of the human body. The disease of pancreatitis is a condition, which causes inflammation of the pancreas.

There are two main types of pancreatitis acute and chronic pancreatitis.

  • Acute pancreatitis is a type of pancreatitis, which lasts for a short limited time, the discomfort experienced by the patient can range from mild discomfort to life-threatening situations. People having acute pancreatitis usually recover after going through the proper medication and healing process.
  • The other type of pancreatitis is chronic pancreatitis, which is a long-term inflammation occurring in your pancreas. Usually, this occurs after a patient has already suffered from the ailment of acute, pancreatitis. Patients with this type of pancreatitis has a history of drinking, a large amount of alcohol for a prolonged period of time. Such a situation in long term develops a situation of chronic pancreatitis.

This disease Pancreatitis might cause severe damage to the heart lungs and kidneys. Severe cases of bleeding serious tissue damage, infections are common to patients with pancreatitis. So it is very important to understand the symptoms the causes and to get the treatment at the right time.

In the case of chronic pancreatitis, Besides medications and diet plan surgeries to treat the blockages, pain, and Insulin to treat diabetes occurring from pancreatitis are used as a part of the treatment plan. To prevent pancreatitis in the first place, avoid alcohol and smoking and follow a proper diet and exercise routine.
