Initially, his parents were not in favor of the concept since it would require him to give up ballet and resume training; nonetheless, he was happy that they ultimately agreed with his choice. His father promised him they would welcome him back if he failed, but he had to accept the consequences if he made his own decision. After that, Yunxi travelled to Beijing and resided in an apartment that the agency rented, each of which had a separate room, with two other trainees. In 2018, he returned to television with a 36-episode series called “Flip in Summer,” where he played the supporting character of Xiaoshen. The show had been off the air for five years.
