MT4 is one of the most popular trading platforms. It can also offer you tons of features, advanced analytical tools, and even a mobile app. But that’s not why we think it’s the best platform for newbies. What makes Metatrader 4 so great is how easy it is to get started.
The platform doesn’t require programming skills or any other sort of technical knowledge. You don’t have to spend days learning how to use its interface before you can start trading like a pro!
All you need is an internet connection (as long as your broker offers MetaTrader 4), and you’re good to go! In fact, MetaTrader 4 remains one of the most widely used retail trading platforms. This write-up aims to review the advantages of using MT4 as a beginner or even intermediate-level trader.
Advantages of MetaTrader 4 for beginners
MT4 is particularly favored amongst beginners because.
It has an easy to navigate user interface
MetaTrader 4’s user interface has been streamlined to make it easy to use, even for a beginner. The platform features a simple and graphical design that makes it easy to place orders, with just two main tabs: the “Market” tab, which allows you to buy and sell currencies; and the “Terminal” tab, which allows you to place trade orders.
The chart is where you will spend most of your time if you are actively trading, so MetaTrader 4 has made efforts to ensure that the default chart options are sufficient for most traders.
There is a choice between several different time periods: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, one day, and two days. Additionally, a list of customizable indicators and drawing tools can be added to the chart. If an indicator or tool is not wanted on the chart, it can simply be deleted.
The terminal section allows traders to access the market by placing orders directly through their computer screen instead of picking up the phone or sending an order via e-mail or fax. It also allows traders to follow live news feeds from various news outlets worldwide.
It allows the use of expert advisors
Expert advisors are computer programs that can help you make trades by analyzing the market and automatically executing trades based on their calculations. They’re useful because they let you trade without having to do the analysis yourself, which is an especially helpful tool if you don’t have much time to dedicate to the market.
Using expert advisors can also help you limit your losses since they’ll calculate the best times for you to sell a given asset before it drops in value, thus helping protect your investment.
