Vladikavkaz

The Russian region of North Ossetia-Alania’s capital is Vladikavkaz. The Bronze Monument of the Warrior and the Eternal Flame are only two of the amazing monuments that can be seen in this lovely city, which is encircled by stunning mountains.

The North Ossetian Museum of Local Lore, contains more than 200,000 artifacts. Don’t forget to try the delectable Ossetian dishes like chudu and khychiny.

Vellore

The Indian state of Tamil Nadu’s southernmost region contains the charming city of Vellore. Shri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple and Jalakandeswarar Temple are only two of the city’s many historic temples.

The Vellore Fort, which has a museum devoted to the history of the area, is another attraction open to visitors. Visit the Vellore Kitchen to sample classic South Indian fare like masala dosa and idli sambar for a flavor of the region’s cuisine.

Vaduz

The capital of Liechtenstein, a charming landlocked nation sandwiched between Switzerland and Austria, is Vaduz. Take in the gorgeous architecture and breathtaking mountain vistas as you meander through the city’s picturesque streets.

Vaduz Castle, the city’s most recognizable structure and the Prince of Liechtenstein’s formal residence, is a must-see. The adjacent Malbun ski resort provides breathtaking slopes with lovely views of the Rhine Valley for outdoor enthusiasts.

Venezia

Northeastern Italy is home to Venezia, usually referred to as Venice, which enjoys international fame. The city, which is situated on a lagoon, has a complex system of canals and bridges, including the well-known Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs.

Visitors can take a boat ride down the Grand Canal and explore St. Mark’s Square, the city’s center. Don’t forget to sample regional specialties like risotto al nero di seppia and cicchetti.

Vijayawada

The city of Vijayawada is found in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh along the banks of the Krishna River. This thriving city is well-known for housing the elaborately carved and sculptured Kanaka Durga Temple.

The Undavalli Caves are historic rock-cut temples from the seventh century that history buffs can visit. Tourists enjoy Vijayawada’s spiciness and perfume of its food, which includes dishes like ghee-roasted dosa and biryani.

Veracruz

In eastern Mexico, a city called Veracruz can be found on the Gulf of Mexico. Before visiting the Veracruz Aquarium, the largest in Latin America, where they can up-close view aquatic life including sharks and sea turtles, visitors can take a stroll along the waterfront and take in the beachy atmosphere.

History buffs can go on a guided tour of the spectacular San Juan de Ulua Fortress, which was built in the sixteenth century. Ceviche and huachinango a la veracruzana are two of the city’s most well-known seafood dishes.

Vatican City

Rome, Italy is home to the city-state of Vatican City. The Holy See, the supreme authority of the Roman Catholic Church, is situated in this small, autonomous city. Visitors can see the Vatican Museums, which house an outstanding collection of artwork, antiquities, and religious relics, as well as St. Peter’s Basilica, the biggest church in the world.

The Vatican also houses Michelangelo’s masterwork, the Sistine Chapel. As the Vatican City is regarded as a sacred location, visitors are advised to dress modestly and with peace.

Verona

The lovely city of Verona is situated in the Veneto region of northern Italy. The Roman Arena, a well-preserved amphitheater from the first century that is still utilized for shows and concerts today, is the focal point of the city.

In addition, tourists can explore the historic Castelvecchio complex and Juliet’s House, which is well-known for being the setting for William Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet.” Enjoy regional specialties like risotto all’Amarone and Soave Classico to get a taste of the area.

Vungtau

Vietnam’s southern coast is home to the coastal city of Vung Tau. Both the Front Beach and the Back Beach at Bai Truoc are excellent options for a day in the sun and waves.

A cable car ride up Nui Nho Mountain will take adventurers to the summit, where they will be rewarded with breathtaking views over the city and the South China Sea. The Niet Ban Tinh Xa Buddhist Temple and the Thich Ca Phat Dai Pagoda are only two of the city’s outstanding temples.

Visalia

The city of Visalia is situated in the Central Valley of California. There are many parks in the city, including the family-friendly Mooney Grove Park and Adventure Park.

The Visalia Farmers Market, which sells locally created goods and fresh produce, is also open to visitors. Don’t forget to stop by the Visalia Fox Theatre, a historic Art Deco structure that screens concerts, films, and events, or the ImagineU Interactive Children’s Museum.

Vicenza

In northeastern Italy, there is a city called Vicenza. The city’s historic district is brimming with stunning structures and breathtaking architecture, including several palaces created by Andrea Palladio.

Visitors can also meander through the city’s many piazzas, including the central Piazza dei Signori and Piazza delle Erbe. Visit Vicenza’s Olympic Theatre, a magnificent example of Renaissance design, and savor the city’s world-famous cuisine, which includes fresh pasta and sopressata veneta.

Visakhapatnam

The city of Visakhapatnam, commonly referred to as Vizag, is situated on the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh’s coast. In addition to visiting the city’s well-known Yarada Beach, tourists may learn about India’s naval history at the INS Kurusura Submarine Museum.

Hinduism fans can explore the Simhachalam Temple, an old Hindu temple with origins dating back to the 11th century, while nature lovers can visit the Borra Caves in the Araku Valley. Don’t pass up the chance to try the traditional cashew nut curry known as kaju curry from Vizag.

Volzhsky

Southern Russia’s Volzhsky is a city situated along the Volga River. There are many beautiful parks in the city, including Central City Park and Victory Park, both ideal for a leisurely stroll. The Volzhsky Local History Museum offers exhibits on the archaeology, history, and ethnography of the area for history aficionados to peruse. A number of striking statues, like the Monument to the Migrant Worker and the Monument to the Soviet Power, can be found across the city.

Vientiane

The capital of Laos is Vientiane, which is situated in Southeast Asia’s southernmost region. The city is renowned for its distinctive fusion of conventional Laotian and French colonial architecture, including the well-known Patuxai Victory Monument and the That Luang temple, which serves as the nation’s emblem.

Additionally, visitors can meander through the Morning Market, where they can purchase a variety of regional goods including crafts and cuisine, or they can explore the Buddha Park, which is home to more than 200 Buddhist and Hindu monuments.
