The SR920SW is a 1.55-volt silver oxide watch battery, about 9.5 mm wide and 2.1 mm thick. Its most common equivalent is the 371, and Energizer sells it as a combined 371/370 cell (IEC SR69). Energizer’s battery cross-reference guide lists 371, 370, SR920SW, SR920W, SG6 and V371, among other names, as the same cell.
This guide uses Energizer’s data sheets and cross-reference guide to explain the names, the difference between 371 and 370, and why the similar-looking 395 won’t fit.

| Weight | About 0.7 g |
| IEC code | SR69 |
What is the equivalent of an SR920SW battery?
The 371, also sold as 370 or 371/370. Energizer’s cross-reference guide lists one 371/370 cell that replaces batteries labelled 371, 370, SP371, SP370, V371, V370, 605, SB-AN, SR920SW, SR920W, SG6, 30, 36 and Type Z. All of these are silver oxide cells of the same IEC size, SR69.

371 vs 370: what is the difference?
They are the same size and voltage. Energizer’s older sheets describe the 371 as designed for continuous low drain, and the 370 for “high pulse drain on demand”, the kind of use found in watches with a light or alarm. Energizer now sells them as one 371/370 battery, so either one fits a watch that takes an SR920SW.
What does SR920SW mean?
- S: silver oxide chemistry
- R: round
- 920: the size, roughly 9.5 mm wide (shown as “9”) and 2.0 mm thick (“20”)
- SW: a maker’s suffix; some brands sell SW and W versions of the same size, so match your old battery if you can

Is 371 the same as 395?
No. They are about the same width, but the 395 (SR927SW) is thicker: 2.40-2.70 mm against 1.85-2.10 mm for the 371. A 395 will not fit a watch made for a 371, and a 371 can sit loose in a 395 slot. The 377 (SR626SW) is much narrower, about 6.8 mm. See our SR626SW and 377 guide.

How long does a 371 battery last?
In Energizer’s continuous test on a 30,000-ohm load (about 0.05 mA), the 371/370 ran about 687 hours before falling to 1.2 V. Real battery life depends on the watch and how often you use features like a light or alarm.
Button battery safety
Small button batteries are dangerous if swallowed. Keep new and used cells away from children and pets, and get emergency medical help straight away if you think a child has swallowed one.

Frequently asked questions
Is SR920SW the same as 371?
Yes. Energizer’s cross-reference guide lists SR920SW as one of the names for its 371/370 silver oxide cell.
Is 370 the same as 371?
Yes, for buying purposes. They share the same size, voltage and IEC code, and Energizer sells them as one 371/370 cell.
Is SG6 the same as SR920SW?
Yes. SG6 is listed with SR920SW and 371 in Energizer’s cross-reference guide.
Can I use 395 instead of 371?
No. A 395 is about 0.6 mm thicker and will not fit a watch made for a 371.
What size is a 371 battery?
About 9.5 mm (0.37 in) across and 2.1 mm (0.08 in) thick.
What voltage is a 371 battery?
1.55 volts. It is a silver oxide cell.
