Browsing: Money
Money writing tends to assume one reader in one country with one tax code. This section does not, and that is worth knowing before you read it. The coverage splits roughly between Indian personal finance and United States consumer finance, and an article is usually written for one or the other.
On the Indian side: insurance, in more depth than anywhere else here, including how much term cover a given salary can realistically carry, motor and health policies, and where NRIs should actually keep money for day-to-day use. On the American side: credit cards, tax debt and relief programmes, and retirement banking. Running through both is the general material – passive income without the fantasy, and newer subjects such as what AI trading software does and does not do.
None of this is financial advice, and nobody here is a licensed adviser. Articles are written to help you understand a product well enough to ask a professional the right question, or to recognise when something is being sold to you. Where a claim depends on jurisdiction, rates or your own circumstances, the article should say so; if one does not, treat it as background rather than instruction.
Four subjects account for most of the section. Investing is the largest, treated as long-horizon household investing rather than trading. Insurance is the most distinctive, and the most Indian: term cover, motor and health policies, and the arithmetic of how much a given salary can actually carry. Credit and borrowing follows — cards, loans, and what the interest really costs over the term. Tax runs through both jurisdictions, from Indian filing basics to United States relief programmes. Retirement appears as a smaller but growing thread, including how insurers are now pricing risk, which is quietly changing what cover costs later in life.
The reader this is written for is a household decision-maker rather than an investor: someone comparing two policies, wondering whether a tax programme applies to them, or trying to work out where their salary should sit. Articles are kept close to that level deliberately, and the section does not run market commentary or stock tips.
There is no market commentary here, no stock tips and no predictions. Those age badly and tend to be worth less than they cost the reader. What does not age is understanding how a product works before you buy it, which is what the section spends its time on.
