India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has urged his fellow citizens to bring the national flag, the Tiranga, to their residences and fly it between August 13 and August 15 in honor of the holiday.

This movement has gained momentum thanks to Prime Minister Modi. Through his social media accounts, he is also urging everyone to switch the display photo to a tiranga in support of this.

To ensure that there are as many flags as possible available to aid this campaign, the government has also approved the use of polyester and the machinery for making the flags. The previous law permitted flags made of khadi, cotton, wool, silk, and bunting material to be hand-spun and hand-woven.

Over Rs. 16.07 crore worth of national flags have been sold in Assam in the months leading up to the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign. More than 23,000 members of self-help groups have stitched 35, 95, 167 different national flags in total.

The state government of Assam has requested 50 lakh flags from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in addition to producing national flags locally. 39.26 lakh flags have been delivered to the state government thus far.

Aim of “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign

The goal of this Abhiyam is to instill a sense of patriotism and devotion to the country in all Indians. Bringing the flag home as a nation in our 75th year of independence symbolizes both our dedication to building a better country and our act of personal connection to the Tiranga.

  4. Enable the location service on your smartphone.
  5. Press the Next button.
  6. Your mobile device will now open the map and pinpoint your location.
  7. Select “Pin a Flag” from the menu.
  8. Your image has now been pinned.
  9. Download the Har Ghar Tiranga Certificate after that.

How to Buy a Flag Online for the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign?

  1. You must first go to the portal’s official website, epostoffice.gov.in, to purchase the flag from the post office portal.
  2. The next step is to click on the image of the Indian national flag on the website’s home page.
  3. The option to click the image to buy the flag will then appear beneath the image.
  4. The delivery address and the number of flags must be specified.
  5. Add your mobile number as well.
  6. The process must then be finished by making the payment online.
  7. Since the flag is very inexpensive, anyone can purchase it.
  8. Customers cannot also change their orders.

How to Buy a Flag Offline for the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign

Everyone is taking part in the Har Ghar Tiranga, which will go down in Indian history as a significant occasion, with feelings of patriotism. The post’s department is making an effort to take part in this event as well. Starting on August 1st, the Indian flags are being sold by the department of post for just Rs. 25 through the portal post office.

The Flag Code of India 2002 was amended on July 20, 2022, allowing the national flag to be flown both during the day and at night. The previous regulation allowed the flag to be flown only before sunrise and after sunset.

Additionally, regardless of any ceremony or occasion, it is acceptable for members of the general public, private organizations, or any educational institution to hoist the national flag on any given day as long as they abide by the rules governing dignity and honor of the flag.
