A night spent cuddled up on the couch watching a terrifying Halloween movie isn’t complete during the spooky season. But, when it comes to family movie night, it may be difficult to strike the appropriate blend of festive (a.k.a. creepy) and kid-friendly. Don’t be concerned!
Halloween Movies – List of Best Disney Halloween Movies To Watch
Our collection of the top Disney Halloween movies is chock-full of films that will give your entire family a good fright. The nice part is that you can watch a lot of them on Disney+.
This month on Disney+, there are numerous new Halloween movies available, including the popular Hocus Pocus sequel, but we’ve also added a few older classics from the original Disney Channel lineup that are still worth a watch (we’re looking at you, Don’t Look Under the Bed!)
Finally, for all of the Disney adults out there, there are a few horror stories you can stream on the site for a true night of fright (okay, a Disney-fied version of terror).
Hocus Pocus
If you haven’t seen this movie yet, you’re truly losing out. Max (Omri Katz), his sister Dani (Thora Birch), and their friend Allison (Vinessa Shaw) investigate an abandoned mansion and unintentionally release three terrible witches named Sarah, Winifred, and Mary Sanderson (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy).
The kids must then steal the witches’ spell book in order to prevent the Sanderson sisters from becoming immortal. Also, don’t miss the brand-new sequel, Hocus Pocus 2!

The Nightmare Before Christmas
While there is still some disagreement over whether this is a Christmas or Halloween film, we believe it is appropriate to enjoy at any time of year. Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, is tired of the same old scary aspects of Halloween Town and decides to explore the magical realm of Christmas Town. And when he does, he is astounded by what he discovers.
Coco
A narrative of Miguel, a little child who aspires to be a musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz. Miguel aspires to demonstrate his musical talent and ends up in the Land of the Dead, where he meets a trickster named Hector. Miguel and Hector set out on a trip to discover the true meaning of Miguel’s surname. Although the Day of the Dead has nothing to do with Halloween, it’s a wonderful movie to watch the night before the festivities on November 1.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
After expressing an interest in magic, a young guy is taken under the wing of a strong sorcerer. What follows is an adventure he will never forget.
Bride of Boogedy
Boogedy returns in this sequel to Mr. Boogedy (which you can also watch on Netflix). This time, the adversary of the Davis family releases the 300-year-old ghost, and he takes Mrs. Davis away from her family!
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr.Toad
The stories of this animated short are partially based on the fairy tales The Wind in the Willows and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Most people think the film is funny, however, there are some creepy moments thanks to the horseman.
Bedknobs and Broomsticks
This film contains music, magic, and dance routines, and it uses a similar animation and live-action blend as the iconic Mary Poppins. In World War II, a witch-in-training enlists the assistance of three youngsters to save the United Kingdom.
Edward Scissorhands
A scientist creates a human-like guy but dies before completing him. Edward (Johnny Depp) then wanders around as an outcast from society until he is welcomed into the home of a local Avon lady.

Cruella
This is the story of a young gifter (Emma Stone) who wants to make a reputation for herself in the fashion industry, but when she encounters a fashion legend, she changes into Cruella de Vil, a boisterous, revenge-bent alter-ego. A witch (Meryl Streep) forces a childless baker and his wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt) to embark on a three-day quest to obtain magical artifacts from classic fairy tales such as Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Jack and the Beanstalk. Needless to say, things do not go according to plan.
Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie
What child does not adore Winnie the Pooh? A great Halloween movie for kids since they may join Pooh and his friends on a terrifying journey in the Hundred Acre Woods.
Under Wraps
The original 1997 version is available on Amazon, but Disney+ released a fresh recreation of Under Wraps last year. A trio of friends, similar to the plot of the original Disney Channel Original Movie, unintentionally resurrect a mummy they uncover in a neighbor’s cellar. Will they bring him back to his final resting place before midnight on Halloween? After you figure it out, make sure to watch the brand-new sequel, Under Wraps 2.

Halloweentown High
The third film in the series follows Marnie as she strives to bring the real world and her Halloweentown pals together. But, after a few twists and turns, Marnie and her family’s magical abilities are now under attack.
