Proton’s Black Friday 2026 VPN deal is already available, but only on its partner landing page: VPN Plus costs $2.49 a month on a 2-year plan, billed at $59.76 for the first 24 months, when we checked on 5 November 2026. Proton describes it as “Our best prices of the year, available exclusively through our partners.”
Proton’s own Black Friday page (protonvpn.com/black-friday) still shows only “The countdown to Black Friday has begun”, and its regular pricing page charges $3.49 a month for the same plan. Below are both prices, the Proton Unlimited deal, what happens at renewal, the refund rules, and how this compares with Proton’s past Black Friday offers.

Proton’s Black Friday VPN deal is live now on its partner page: VPN Plus for $2.49 a month on a 2-year plan ($59.76 upfront), 75% off the $9.99 monthly price. That is $24 less than the $83.76 Proton’s main pricing page charges for the same 2 years. Its public Black Friday page still shows only a countdown.
- VPN Plus: $59.76 for 24 months, then $83.88 a year; 10 devices, ad and malware blocker.
- Proton Unlimited: $6.49 a month on 1 year ($77.88), then $119.88 a year; adds Mail, Pass, Drive and 500 GB of storage.
- Refund: 30-day money-back guarantee on direct purchases, once per user.
- Watch out: the deal renews at the standard price, so the third year costs $83.88 at today’s renewal price.
Proton VPN Black Friday deal: the prices
| Plan and term | Partner Black Friday page | Proton pricing page | Then renews at |
|---|---|---|---|
| VPN Plus, 2 years | $2.49/mo ($59.76 for 24 months), 75% off | $3.49/mo ($83.76 for 24 months), 65% off | $83.88 every 12 months |
| Proton Unlimited, 1 year (partner) / 2 years (pricing page) | $6.49/mo ($77.88 for 12 months), 50% off | $7.99/mo ($191.76 for 24 months), 38% off | $119.88 every 12 months |
| Proton Free | Not shown | $0 (1 device at a time, no card) | No renewal |
On VPN Plus, the partner deal saves $24.00 over the 2 years compared with Proton’s own pricing page (our calculation: $83.76 minus $59.76). The Unlimited deals are on different terms (1 year versus 2), so compare the totals: $77.88 buys one year on the partner page; $191.76 buys two years on the pricing page. Proton also has a separate deals page (protonvpn.com/vpn-deals) that showed VPN Plus at $71.76 for 2 years on 30 October 2026, so the partner deal was $12 cheaper than that too (our calculation).
VPN Plus covers 10 devices at a time, “20,000+ servers in 140+ countries”, streaming, and an ad, tracker and malware blocker. Proton Unlimited adds Proton Mail, Calendar, Pass (passwords), Drive with 500 GB of storage, and Docs and Sheets.

What happens when the deal ends
Proton’s Black Friday page FAQ (checked 30 October 2026) says: “Depending on the plan you selected, your subscription will automatically renew at the standard price every billing cycle unless you choose to cancel.” The partner page shows the numbers: VPN Plus “renews at $83.88 every 12 months” and Proton Unlimited “renews at $119.88 every 12 months”.
So VPN Plus costs $59.76 for years 1 and 2, then $83.88 for year 3 (today’s renewal price; Proton’s terms say you pay whatever the price is at renewal). Averaged over three years that is about $47.88 a year, or $3.99 a month (our calculation). If you don’t want it to renew, cancel before the 2 years end; you keep the plan until then.

Proton VPN refund rules
- 30 days: “You may cancel your subscription within 30 days of the initial purchase and receive a full refund for the Service.” Both the cancellation and the refund request must be made within those 30 days.
- Once per user: “Refunds can only be requested once per user.”
- Direct purchases only: Proton’s terms say the guarantee applies to subscriptions bought through Proton’s own website and apps; if you paid through a third party, its refund policy applies. Proton’s support page says App Store refunds go through Apple, and Google Play subscribers can ask Proton’s support team (or Google Play) for a refund.
- Not refundable: payments by cash or bank transfer. After 30 days, refunds are at Proton’s discretion.
We found no exclusion for Black Friday purchases in Proton’s terms, but they don’t mention Black Friday either.
Past Proton VPN Black Friday deals
- 2022: “up to 50% off Proton VPN and six months free”: VPN Plus for $119.76 for 30 months (24 months plus 6 free), from Proton’s blog post published 2 November 2022. That year the VPN deals renewed “at the discounted rate for as long as you keep your subscription active”.
- 2023 to 2025: not verified. Proton ran a 2023 sale (its 2022 post points to it), but we couldn’t find a dated official page for 2023, 2024 or 2025 with the terms, and Proton’s older Black Friday URLs now redirect to the 2026 countdown page or no longer load.
- The difference in 2026: the 2026 FAQ says plans renew “at the standard price”, so don’t expect the 2022 renewal promise this year.
Per month, the 2026 partner price ($59.76 for 24 months, $2.49) is lower than 2022’s offer ($119.76 for 30 months, about $3.99), by our calculation.

Should you buy the Proton VPN deal now?
- Yes, if you want VPN Plus for 2 years: the partner price is already 75% off and $24 below Proton’s pricing page. Proton calls it “our best prices of the year”, but we can’t promise its public Black Friday sale won’t match it.
- Want email and storage too? Proton Unlimited at $77.88 for a year bundles Mail, Pass and Drive; it renews at $119.88.
- Just need light use? Proton Free costs nothing: 1 device at a time and no credit card.
- Buy direct (website, not an app store) if you want Proton’s own 30-day refund.
