He chooses to abandon the automobile at a landfill in his uncertainty, but right away the phone rings. He is asked to go forward. Subsequently, Michael is informed by the whistleblower that she was kidnapped and intended to be killed because she had too much information regarding the local police’s role in the illegal operation. Junaid Ahmed is the director of the 2007 semi-documentary film titled More than just a game. The movie depicts the founding of the Makana F.A. in 1966 by political convicts on Robben Island in South Africa. Scenes that have been reenacted are intercut with alternating interviews including Mark Shinners, Anthony Suze, Sedick Isaacs, Lizo Sitoto, and Marcus Solomon. The apartheid government of South Africa maintained Robben Island as a prison. There are among the convicts those persons who have made a name for themselves by opposing this system in some capacity. Still, they are very different in terms of personalities, values, and approaches. The inmates accidentally learned how much they all loved football. They agree to request permission to play football in their free time and begin electing representatives in an attempt to find something that would make life in jail less intolerable. Although the initial petitions are denied, the inmates’ perseverance eventually pays off.
They become adept at organizing themselves quickly. The framework provided by their football league allows the incarcerated people to develop appropriate self-management. The Makana F.A. is finally receiving support from the jail administration in the form of football uniforms and a FIFA-compliant pitch. Despite coming from various backgrounds, the elected leaders of the convicts show that they can have civil discussions and resolve any disagreements politely. Prison guards are aware of this and don’t get involved in their testimony disagreements. They appear to be beginning to realize that these folks don’t want patronization. The Makana F.A. founders have finally completed their terms and are off the island prison. They are set free in a nation that is about to undergo a radical transformation and this will allow them the chance to demonstrate their managerial prowess in an independent setting.
In 2016, Bram Coppens directed the American psychological thriller Broken Vows, which starred Wes Bentley, Jaimie Alexander, Cam Gigandet, Alexandra Breckenridge, and Astrid Bryan. Jim Agnew and Sean Keller wrote the screenplay. Wes Bentley’s character Patrick is a lovely but disturbed man. It is at Tara’s bachelorette celebration that he first meets Jamie Alexander. After their one-night encounter, he spirals into a delusional frenzy, believing he is in love with her, and he even has her name, Tara tattooed on his arm. This happens after she returns home. Now that Patrick has her phone, he begins to revoke the venue, the florist, and other wedding-related arrangements. Tara can undo every cancellation.
A private investigator named Matt Gerald is contacted by her friend Alexandra Breckenridge and discovers that he has had some similar events previously. When he was younger, he fell in love with his babysitter and intended to burn down the home. He gets hallucinations of Tara adoring him, though, and he is infatuated. He eventually tracks down Tara’s sister, with whom he becomes friends en route to the nuptials. Patrick is attacked during the wedding reception by an investigator set up by Tara’s acquaintance, but he survives. Patrick kills Tara’s companion that same evening after following her home and exploiting her computer to ruin their honeymoon. After turning off the electricity, he lures a staff member outdoors and murders him.
He assaults Tara’s recently married husband, approaches Tara on the beach, and threatens her with a knife. He regains his strength when she fights him off and burns him on fire. When she locates Michael, Patrick is unrelenting in his search for Tara. Tara eventually manages to strangle Patrick to death when he assaults Michael. When it is confirmed that Tara is carrying Patrick’s kid, the doctor informs her that she is pregnant. Tara and her husband are recovering in a hospital in the movie’s last scene.
