Cyber Monday 2026 falls on 30 November, three days after Black Friday (27 November). For VPNs, Cyber Monday is often not a separate, cheaper sale: the Black Friday price often keeps running. Surfshark’s own Cyber Monday page says: “Cyber Monday VPN deals are often the same as Black Friday deals or extended versions of them.”
Below: what VPN providers actually did on Cyber Monday 2025 (from archived pages), the prices live today for Proton VPN, Surfshark, NordVPN and PIA, what each costs once it renews, and the refund rules to check before buying early.

Cyber Monday is 30 November 2026, but you probably don’t need to wait for it. Both providers we could trace in 2025 carried their Black Friday deal into Cyber Monday, and 2026 Black Friday prices are already live for all four VPNs below (Proton’s public sale page still shows a countdown; its partner deal is live). Buy when you’re ready, then use the 30-day refund window to test.
- Proton VPN: VPN Plus $59.76 for 2 years on its partner Black Friday page, then $83.88 a year.
- Surfshark: Starter or One $67.23 for 27 months, then $79 or $99 a year (from page data).
- NordVPN: Basic $94.23 for 27 months, then $139.08 a year; deal ends 9 December 2026.
- PIA: $2.03 a month for 40 months ($81.20), checked 4 November.
Are Cyber Monday VPN deals better than Black Friday?
In the cases we could check, no. Surfshark’s Cyber Monday FAQ says: “There’s generally no difference in the VPN discounts offered on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Most VPN providers run a continuous promotion that spans from Black Friday to Cyber Monday.” That is a VPN seller describing its market, so we also checked archived pages from 2025.
What happened on Cyber Monday 2025
These come from captures of each provider’s pages in the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine; dates are when the copies were captured.
- Proton VPN: no Cyber Monday page. Its Black Friday page on 1 December 2025 (Cyber Monday) was identical to the 28 November copy: “Get Proton VPN for 70% off”. By 3 December a 24-month “flash sale” plan had been added; by 20 December the page said “Black Friday is over”. The dollar prices are filled in by script and are not in the captures.
- CyberGhost: the banner changed from “Black Friday Deal” (25 November) to “Cyber Monday” from 28 November, but the offer stayed the same: 2 years + 4 months at $2.03 a month, “Billed $56.94 for first 28 months”. It was still on its buy page on 5 December and had changed to a 26-month plan at $2.19 a month by 10 December.
- NordVPN, PIA and ExpressVPN: not verified. Their sites are excluded from the Wayback Machine.
- Surfshark: not verified. We found no usable archived copies from late 2025.
So in 2025 CyberGhost kept one price from Black Friday through Cyber Monday, and Proton’s page (headline “70% off”) was unchanged at the start of Cyber Monday; both changed only afterwards. That does not guarantee the same this year, but nothing we found suggests waiting until 30 November pays.

VPN deals live now (and what they renew at)
NordVPN and Surfshark both have Cyber Monday pages up already. NordVPN’s says: “Check out all of our available Cyber Monday deals on the NordVPN pricing page”, which shows its Black Friday prices. Surfshark’s Cyber Monday page shows its “Limited-time Black Friday offer”.
| VPN (cheapest long plan) | First payment | Covers | Then renews at | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Proton VPN Plus (partner page) | $59.76 | 24 months | $83.88 a year | 5 Nov |
| Surfshark Starter / One | $67.23 | 27 months | $79 / $99 a year* | 5 Nov |
| NordVPN Basic | $94.23 | 27 months | $139.08 a year | 6 Nov |
| PIA | $81.20 (our maths) | 40 months | $81.20 every 3 years | 4 Nov |
- End dates: NordVPN says “Deal ends December 9, 2026”. Proton VPN, Surfshark and PIA show no end date (Surfshark shows countdowns only).
- Devices: Proton VPN and NordVPN cover 10 devices; Surfshark and PIA allow unlimited devices.
- Prices can differ by country and Surfshark’s terms say it may run A/B price tests, so check the price at checkout.

Proton VPN
Proton’s partner Black Friday page (the one our link opens) lists VPN Plus for 2 years at $2.49 a month: “Billed at $59.76 for the first 24 months, then renews at $83.88 every 12 months.” That is $24 less than the $83.76 two-year price on Proton’s own pricing page. Proton Unlimited, which adds Mail, Pass and Drive, is $77.88 for the first year, then $119.88 a year. The page says “All new users are eligible”. See Proton VPN or our Proton VPN Black Friday guide.
Surfshark
Surfshark Starter and Surfshark One are both $2.49 a month for 24 months plus 3 extra months: $67.23 for 27 months. Surfshark One+ is $107.73 for 27 months. On 5 November its 24-month plans also showed a free trial (“Today you will pay $0.00”), which may depend on device or region. See Surfshark or our Surfshark Black Friday guide.
NordVPN and PIA
NordVPN Basic costs $94.23 for 27 months, then $139.08 a year; its two higher plans cost $105.03 and $159.03 for 27 months. PIA’s “Early Access” Black Friday offer on 4 November was $2.03 a month for 3 years + 4 months, renewing at $81.20 every 3 years, the lowest renewal here. Over about three years PIA costs the least of these four ($81.20, against $143.64 for Proton VPN and $146.23 for Surfshark, our maths); Proton VPN and Surfshark cost less for the first two years.
Refunds: what happens if you buy before Cyber Monday
| VPN | Money-back window | Conditions (from its own pages) |
|---|---|---|
| Proton VPN | 30 days | Once per user; cash and bank transfers not refundable |
| Surfshark | 30 days | Initial purchase only; recurring payments not refundable |
| NordVPN | 30 days | “get a full refund” within 30 days of buying |
| PIA | 30 days | New users only; not for App Store or Google Play subscriptions |
If a cheaper Cyber Monday price did appear after you bought, a refund within 30 days would let you cancel, but buying again may not count as a new-user or first purchase, so you may lose the deal or a second refund (Proton allows one refund per user; PIA requires no refund in the previous 3 months). Check the refund rules for the store you pay through: app-store purchases follow Apple’s or Google’s rules instead.

How to choose a VPN deal this week
- Compare the renewal, not just the first price. NordVPN Basic renews at $139.08 a year; Surfshark Starter at $79.
- Pick the term you’ll keep. Long plans are cheapest per month but are paid up front.
- Count your devices. 10 devices covers many households; homes with more devices may prefer unlimited.
- Set a reminder before the 30-day refund window ends, and another before the renewal date.
