Jirayu Tangsrisuk is a Thai actor, singer, and model, also known as James Jirayu. He is best known for his roles in television dramas such as Suphapburut Juthathep (2013), Timeline (2014), The One in My Heart (2015), The Loyal Wife (2016), Fallen Angel (2017), Underneath the Same Sky (2018), Game of Affection (2018), Repercussion (2019), Mist of Love (2020), and Prophecy of Love (2020). Bio, Education and Family

Jirayu Tangsrisuk was born on September 19, 1993, in Phichit, Thailand. He is more commonly known by his nickname “James OR JJ”. His English name is James Jirayu. His zodiac sign is Virgo. Jirayu is 73 inches tall and weighs approximately 70 kilograms. His physical features include a pale complexion, black hair, and black eyes. He has a nice appearance and a dynamic demeanor.

In addition to school, he finished Grade 3. After graduating from high school, he continued his education in radio and television broadcasting at Rangsit University’s Faculty of Communication Arts. Later that year, he received a scholarship (The Artist) and transferred to the Faculty of Business Administration, where he majored in Retail Business Management before graduating in 2017.

Career

James Jirayu began dancing and singing at a young age, and in high school, he formed his band, playing bass guitar. In 2011, he won a model contest sponsored by the cosmetics brand Mistine, which launched his modeling career. In multiple interviews, he indicated that he had no desire to be an actor or movie star because he was a shy youngster, but his mother did. He was also very interested in computers, particularly computer games, and wanted to study and work in a discipline such as Computer Science or Information Technology (IT) for his future career.

Charnchalard Dhaweesap, the owner of the entertainment company “Meta Talent Management,” noticed James’ photographs on Facebook and approached him in April 2012. Despite seven other agencies contacting him, he began his career in the entertainment world under Charnchalard’s management. Furthermore, during the interview, he highlighted how PIK’s aide, Kul Siri Vorabutra, helped him even after his contract was terminated. His drama, Neung Nai Suang (The One in My Heart), starring Urassaya Sperbund, aired in May of the same year. “Padiwaradda (The Loyal Wife),” his second drama with Ranee Campen, debuted in 2016. Natapohn Tameeruks started filming for Nueng Dao Fa Diao (Under the Same Sky) and Game Sanaeha (Game of Affection/Game of Love). Kimi Dake I Love You, James’ debut CD record and first photo album (all taken by himself), was released in Japan in June 2016.

In 2017, James was ranked third among Thailand’s top ten highest-paid actors. Buang Hong, his debut drama with Kimberley Anne Woltemas, aired in March. In April, he appeared as “Demon King” in the Tokusatsu series Idol x Warrior Miracle Tunes!, which aired on TV Tokyo. On May 19, 2017, he was named the goodwill ambassador for Thailand and Japan’s 130th anniversary of diplomatic relations. His Japanese short film Home Away From Home premiered on YouTube in June. James4D: Concert took place on September 19, 2017. In April 2018, he was named second among Thailand’s top seven highest-paid actors. In June 2018, James and Preechaya Pongthananikorn were cast in Yuttana Lorpanpaiboon’s lakorn Prayakorn Sorn Ruk. He began filming his next drama, Leh Banpakarn (Mist of Love), with Natapohn Tameeruks in early 2019. His portrayal of “Ah-Sa” in Krong Kam (Repercussion), which ran from February 26 to April 30, 2019, drew significant praise. He also won “Best Actor in a Leading Role” at the 11th Nataraja Awards in 2020 for his performance as Ah-Sa.

On October 29, 2020, the lakorn Krong Kam (Repercussion) received the “Special Awards for Foreign Dramas” award at The Tokyo Drama Awards, The International Drama Festival in Tokyo. On March 26, 2021, he launched his debut mini album Missing You. The album features five songs: Always, Step by Step, Hold On, Till I Found You, and Cause of You. “OM! Cruch On Me!” is an action drama, rom-com, and fantasy film starring Maylada Susri that will be released in theatres on December 2, 2021. James Jirayu and Ranee Campen are among Channel 3’s most popular “Koojin (Imaginary Couple)” or on-screen couples. “Jiranee” is how their admirers refer to them. He is also well-known throughout Southeast Asia, China, and Japan.
