Best Places to Visit During the Easter Holiday

As Easter approaches, I have been thinking about where to travel this year. Growing up listening to bible stories, I have always been drawn to historical and cultural destinations, which have been on my bucket list for years. After researching, I have found some amazing tours I want to share with you.

Places to Visit During the Easter Holiday

Jerusalem-Home to Monotheistic Religions

One of the tours that caught my eye is the Masada and Dead Sea Day Trip from Jerusalem. This tour combines the best of two worlds: historical ruins, natural wonders, and a mini spa day. You get to travel the Judean desert and see the site of the famous New Testament parable of the Good Samaritan; we arrive at Masada.

Riding the cable suspension vehicle to the top of the mountain will provide stunning views and take us to the ruins of King Herod’s palaces. After that, we will drive to the Dead Sea to enjoy the surreal floating experience and take a therapeutic mud bath.

My mother is a die-hard Christian, and In the Footsteps of Jesus is something she has always wanted to experience. The Walking Tour in Jerusalem is a full-day guided walking tour along the Via Dolorosa, the street Jesus walked on the way to his crucifixion. We will also visit other prominent sites in Old City Jerusalem during the tour, like the Pool of Bethesda, St Anne’s Church, and the Convent of the Sisters of Zion.

If we have more time, we can also tour the Holy Land Sites of Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee. We will travel to Nazareth, defined in the Holy Bible, New Testament section, as the childhood home of Jesus. There, we can see famous Holy Land locations like the Basilica of the Annunciation and Mt.

Tabor, the place of the Transfiguration of Jesus. We can also walk the shores of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus performed miracles and taught his followers. I am also considering being baptized in the Jordan River, where Jesus was baptized.

Spain- The Land of Heritage

Spain is an amazing destination to visit during Easter. With so many unique and beautiful places to visit, I prefer to have my vehicle to explore at my own pace. Thankfully, I have found an auto transport company that can ship my car to my destination, so I don’t have to worry about getting it there. This way, when I arrive, my car waits for me to drive around and explore the area. I have narrowed my list to a few must-see destinations if I visit Spain.

One of the unique experiences to have in Spain during Easter is the processions in Malaga. These processions involve hundreds of Brotherhoods carrying religious statues on their shoulders through the city’s streets. The traditional caproate worn by some of the participants is also a unique sight to see. I can already imagine the view; it is humbling and breathtakingly beautiful. Also free.

Another destination is the Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona. I was of the fun of the show’s amazing race, and the building caught my eye. It looked surreal. It is a stunning cathedral with unique architecture and intricate details. And it looks like something straight out of a Disney film.

A place I don’t want to miss is Avila and Segovia, two of Spain’s oldest cities. These cities are filled with rich history and culture and walking through the cobblestone streets stepping through history.

Can’t go to Spain without tasting the wine. I have to visit the Barcelona Tapas and Wine Experience. I want to experience some of the best tapas and wines in the city while learning about the history and culture of the food and wine. My friend and her fiancé went there last spring, and she swore it was an explosion of flavor and culture.

Philippines – The Home to Breathtaking Beaches

I love to see the world and have new experiences. I respect and welcome different cultures and love to learn about them. Having so, the Philippines has always been on my list of must-visit destinations. And what better time to visit than during the Easter holiday, when many of the country’s most unique and fascinating traditions occur.

One such tradition that attracts so many tourists is the practice of crucifixion, which is observed in the province of Pampanga every Good Friday. This attraction sight is not for everyone. Some volunteers willingly participate in the suffering of Christ. They are whipped, carry a cross, and most horrifying of all, they get crucified. It is a powerful and moving display of devotion and faith that is truly unforgettable for those who witness it.

Of course, the Philippines has much more to offer than just this tradition. The country is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, with blue crystal clear waters and white sandy shores that are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or relaxing in the sun.

One fun fact about the Philippines is that it has over 7,000 islands, each with unique characters and attractions. From Manila’s bustling streets to Palawan’s lush jungles, there is something for everyone here. So, pack a swimming costume and carry your hiking shoes. You get to visit different ecosystems.

When getting around the Philippines, I recommend having your own vehicle to explore at your own pace and see as much as possible during your trip. And if you’re worried about the hassle of transporting your car to the Philippines, there are auto transport companies that can handle this for you so that your vehicle is waiting for you when you arrive.

Easter is a period of celebration and reflection for many people worldwide. Whether you prefer to experience Spain’s traditional processions and festivities or witness the unique and devout practices in Pampanga, Philippines, there are plenty of options for meaningful travel during this time of year. And if you prefer to have your own vehicle at your destination, Ship a car using an auto transport company to make getting around much easier and hassle-free. No matter the location you choose to go to or how you get there, Easter can be a wonderful opportunity to explore new places, learn about different cultures, and make lasting memories.
