Fast X marks the tenth installment of the Fast and Furious series, and there are many new developments and information to review. In the film, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) along with his extended family makes a comeback for more carnage. The franchise’s core actors will make a surprising comeback for the ninth film, along with some amusing new characters and Jason Momoa playing the villain. There has never been a better opportunity to catch up on the newest installment in the Fast franchise since its May 2023 release date.
Fast X Movie Review, Cast & Release Date
Even though the Fast and Furious franchise has a history of success, the tenth installment has had its share of issues. The pandemic delayed F9, which led to the postponement of this originally scheduled sequel. Johnson strongly rejected Vin Diesel’s public appeal to return to the franchise, fueling the ongoing animosity between the two actors. Louis Leterrier took over as director when Justin Lin departed the movie just before filming was scheduled to begin. Fast X is coming, though, and based on the most recent news, it appears to be a return to form despite all the controversy.
Some latest news on Fast X
While there is still a hold on particular plot information, critics have shared their social media reactions to Fast X, and when compared to F9, the tweets from viewers of the movie are surprisingly complimentary. The action, which was as ridiculous as usual, Louis Leterrier’s direction, and, above all else, Momoa’s portrayal of the new villain Dante Reyes, have all received plaudits for the film. It has been said about the character that she is “fierce and flamboyant” and “F&F’s version of The Joker.”
The broad opinion among critics was supported by Joseph Deckelmeier’s assessment of the film, which he described as an “entertaining adrenaline trip. Although it’s a visual extravaganza with some very amazing stunts and some crazily ridiculous moments, what Jason Momoa offers to the role really sets it apart. His performance oozes nothing but charisma.” Momoa has recently established himself as one of the biggest box office draws, and he is unquestionably the main factor in Aquaman’s over $1 billion gross; based on the reviews of Fast X, he may be able to accomplish the same for the established action series.
The tenth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, dubbed Fast X, will conclude the exploits of Dominic Torreto played by Vin Diesel. As the movie’s release date approaches, we are beginning to understand its main themes. Here is all we currently know about Fast X, from release dates and trailers to the cast, production information, characters, and storyline elements.
Is there going to be another Fast & Furious 11?
Even though Fast X may be the franchise’s last film, the story won’t end there. The movie will be divided into two sections. According to recent reports, Fast X Part 2, the sequel to this tale, is scheduled to open in theaters in 2025, though a specific release date has not yet been confirmed.
“Fast 10 had to be divided into two separate films in part because there is so much ground to cover. During a press conference for F9, Vin Diesel stated that there are “so many places and so many locations in the world that we have to visit.”
They can also be referred to as Fast X and Fast XI or Fast & Furious 10.1 and 10.2. Both ways, this story is not yet done.
What is the release date of Fast X?
At this time, May 19, 2023, is set aside for the debut of Fast X. It makes sense that we’ll be seeing the upcoming movie in cinemas unless something very terrible happens because the previous movie, F9, had one of the best theatrical runs of the pandemic era.
Fast X was supposed to arrive in April 2021, but that date was moved up after F9 had numerous delays. Then scheduled for publication on April 7, 2023, it has now experienced another delay.
A short description of Fast X trailers
The official Fast X trailer, which was published on February 10, 2023, in advance of Super Bowl LVII, is appropriately as large, bombastic, and bloated as the franchise itself. It is set to a remix of The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Notorious Thugs.” Fans are introduced to a number of new characters in the nearly 4-minute-long video, including Jason Momoa’s evil Dante, who also happens to be the son of Hernan Reyes, the drug lord that Dom and his family battled in Fast Five.
Rita Moreno, a Hollywood classic and Academy Award winner, plays Dom and Mia’s Abuelita Toretto in the trailer. Academy Award winner Brie Larson plays Tess, who is likely a new addition to Dom’s family. The last film’s main antagonist, played by John Cena’s Jakob Toretto, will now collaborate with his formerly estranged brother Dom, according to the video. During Super Bowl LVII, a condensed version of the trailer was also made available.
The cavalry shows up in Fast X’s second full trailer. As Dante makes an effort to take on the family, the end of the journey begins. Momoa displays his charisma as he interacts with Dom. The team will need assistance from a few strange allies in order to stop Dante. There are many things to love, but you should see the trailer for yourself to understand better.
Since then, we’ve seen featurettes highlighting Jason Momoa’s Dante, Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto becoming a father, Jordana Brewster’s Mia Toretto, and footage from the movie revealing how Han survived his apparent death.
Cast of Fast X
Fans can anticipate that the majority of the main actors will return, even if the movie’s official cast list has not yet been revealed. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sung Kang, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Jason Statham, Lucas Black, Shad “Bow Wow” Moss, Jason Tobin, John Cena, and Anna Sawai are some of the actors who fall under this category. As Rico Santos and Tego Leon, Don Omar, and Tego Calderon might also make a comeback. Jason Momoa, who plays the villain Dante in the forthcoming film, will make his franchise debut. His casting was announced in January 2021. The Suicide Squad’s Daniela Melchior has also been added to the roster; she will portray a Brazilian street racer with a history with Dom.
Kurt Russell might also return as it’s unclear what will happen to his character at the conclusion of the previous film. She might possibly appear because there have been reports that Gal Gadot’s character might return. Cardi B will also be back for the conclusion of the story, it has been announced. In addition, Vin Diesel has been aggressively attempting to get Dwayne Johnson to rejoin the series, so there is always the chance (however remote) that the Rock will appear in the film as well. Scott Eastwood, who played Little Nobody and stole several scenes in the eighth movie, will also be back for the tenth movie after missing the ninth one.
A role named Tess, who is described as a rogue agent from the Agency, has been cast officially, and it will be played by Captain Marvel star Brie Larson. Aimes, the new head of the Agency who butts heads with Dom and his family, has been portrayed by Alan Ritchson, star of the Reacher series on Amazon Prime Videos. Hollywood icon Rita Moreno will play Dom’s grandma in the film, according to Vin Diesel.
What time does Fast X shoot?
Fast X started shooting in April 2022. The eleventh film’s delay prevented the two halves of the concluding plot from being filmed consecutively as originally planned. Rome and London are allegedly among the filming venues.
