PEC Safety Courses
PEC Safety comprises four different courses that vary in length and course structure.
PEC SAFELAND BASIC ORIENTATION
This course is designed to replace several Operator orientations by providing students with a broad understanding of health and safety problems in the oil and gas sector.
This one-day training offers employees a basic knowledge of general safety facts that they should be aware of before entering a corporate facility and doing their assigned work activities.
PEC H2S CLEAR
This training is intended to improve employee safety for workers in the general industry exposed to hydrogen sulfide at work. This class complies with the updated ANSI/ASSE Z390.1–2017 requirements.
PEC H2S Clear will teach students about the risks of H2S and the precautions, equipment, and controls that must be used when working in potentially hazardous situations.
PEC BASIC PIPELINE
Basic Pipeline offers workers general safety knowledge that they should be aware of before entering a company’s premises. Students will learn about the potential dangers that they may face in the pipeline business. Students will also better understand their OSHA rights and how they apply them to their job.
PEC CORE COMPLIANCE 3 DAY TRAINING
The Core Compliance course addresses over 40 of the most frequently asked questions on health, safety, and the environment (HSE).
The course covers all 29 HSE issues in depth while also covering 15 subjects at an awareness level. This course is SafeLandUSA and SafeGulf accredited, and it includes an annual refresher to keep student credentials current.
These courses are designed to meet the following objectives.
- To equip students to understand what extra training they will need to work for diverse operators at onshore and offshore sites.
- To instill in each student a mindset that will enable them to participate actively in the safety program.
- To teach each student the importance of asking questions when they are unsure about a particular element of their profession.
- To guarantee that each employee who has finished this program has a card stating that they have done it.
