When it comes to buying a new laptop or computer, there’s usually one key question; MacBook or Windows PC? While the Apple offering may seem extortionately priced, when you start to compare a typical MacBook with a PC counterpart, it’s clear to see why so many people swear by them.
Today, we’re going to look at a few of the key reasons MacBooks are the superior option!
1] Incredible Integration With Apple Devices
I don’t think anyone can argue that Apple does integration better than any other company. For the majority of fans, this is what keeps them in the ecosystem – they love how easy it is to do things on one device and then switch to another to finish things off.
Yes, Windows PC’s do try and integrate with other Windows phones – but who actually uses a Windows phone these days?! With Mac’s, you literally just need to sign in with the same iCloud account that you use on your iPhone, and everything syncs up for you, meaning you can get texts and iMessages sent to your MacBook while you work!
2] Clean & User-Friendly Operating System
Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing really ‘wrong’ with the latest Windows OS. However, when you compare it to a MacBook, there’s really no debate about which is better. Windows almost tries too hard to cram in loads of features with Cortana, endless additions to the taskbar, and just a general cluttered feel to things.
With Mac OS, you have a much cleaner and more user-friendly system to use. Everything is clutter-free, and it’s easy to find what you need. As a bonus, there are thousands of hidden features in macOS that hardly anyone knows about.
When you actually dive deep into this operating system, you unleash its true performance potential. So many different things can be managed, giving you far greater control over your device.
3] Far Better Security
I’m saving the best till last here, as MacBooks are proven to offer much better security than any other regular laptop. It’s not impossible for a Mac to get a virus, though there was a period where they pretty much didn’t get any at all. The security technology inside these devices is so advanced that it makes your browsing experience so much safer.
It’s not clear how they manage to do this, but one would expect it’s pretty impressive tech, which goes a long way to explaining the high costs of buying a MacBook. Essentially, there’s a much lower risk of your device being breached in any way, which is so valuable when you buy an expensive thing like this!
4] Bonus: MacBooks Last Longer
I lied, there’s one more thing to mention; MacBooks have a longer shelf life than Windows PC’s. Many people will use their MacBook for many years before it finally starts to slow down and the software becomes too outdated. With a Windows PC, you’re lucky to get 3 or 4 years out of it before it needs replacing.
By looking at all of these points, it’s understandable that some people stick to MacBooks and nothing else! Of course, Windows PC’s do have a few useful features of their own, so let me know in the comments if you want a counter to this argument with a post about why they’re so good.
