There are three plans: Starter (5 GB per mailbox), Standard (20 GB) and Premium (50 GB). With our extra 20% partner discount, Starter comes to $0.31 and Premium to $1.59 a mailbox. Do you get free email with Hostinger web hosting?
Yes, for a year. Hostinger’s web hosting plans include free mailboxes for the first year: 2 mailboxes per website on Premium, and unlimited mailboxes on Unlimited and Ecommerce Startup. If you only need one or two addresses for a site you host with Hostinger, that may be enough to start. See our Hostinger plans and pricing guide.
How to log in to Hostinger email (webmail)
- Go to mail.hostinger.com.
- Enter your full email address (for example, [email protected], not just “you”).
- Enter your email password and click Log In.
You can also open webmail from the Emails section of your Hostinger dashboard. Hostinger says the webmail address is fixed and cannot be changed to your own domain.
Hostinger email settings: IMAP, POP3 and SMTP
To add your Hostinger email to an app such as Outlook, Apple Mail or Thunderbird, use these settings from Hostinger’s help centre:
| Type | Server | Encryption | Port |
|---|---|---|---|
| IMAP (incoming) | imap.hostinger.com | SSL | 993 |
| POP3 (incoming) | pop.hostinger.com | SSL | 995 |
| SMTP (outgoing) | smtp.hostinger.com | SSL | 465 |
Use your full email address as the username and your email password. Choose IMAP if you read email on more than one device: it keeps your inbox the same everywhere. Before you start, your domain must point to Hostinger and the right MX records must be in your DNS zone.
Can you use Hostinger email in Gmail?
On your phone, yes. On a computer, not any more. Hostinger’s help centre says that from January 2026, Gmail stopped supporting Gmailify and POP (“Check mail from other accounts”) for outside email accounts. That means:
- Gmail on a computer: you can no longer read your Hostinger email inside Gmail in your browser. Use webmail or a desktop email app instead.
- Gmail app on Android or iPhone: still works. Add your Hostinger account using IMAP with the settings above. IMAP is turned on by default for Hostinger email accounts.
- Old messages: emails already synced to Gmail before January 2026 stay there.
Hostinger Business Email vs Google Workspace
Hostinger sells both. The difference is where your email lives:
- Hostinger Business Email: your mail is hosted on Hostinger’s servers. You use its webmail or any app via IMAP. It is far cheaper: Starter is $0.39 a mailbox a month on 48 months.
- Google Workspace: your custom address runs on Gmail itself, with Google Drive, Docs and Meet. Google listed Business Starter at $7 per user per month in October 2026, before any introductory offer.
Choose Hostinger email for low-cost professional addresses; choose Google Workspace if you want the Gmail interface on desktop and Google’s office apps. For more options, see our Black Friday email hosting deals.
